Travel Program:

The Danube is the second European river in length, and with its considerable part (588 km) it flows through Serbia. It has always been one of the most important international waterways, and it is well known that it has been the most important European wine route throughout history. The world’s most famous composers dedicated immortal tunes to him, and in Serbian history the most beautiful Alaskan and wine verses are dedicated to the Danube.

The first stop is Jugovo, a place on the Danube, near Smederevo, and Jeremić Winery, a modern winery where we will get to know four wines and short snacks, which is why wine and music are best paired here.

At the second stop, at Organic Winery Plavinci, we hang out with the winery owner who, through the story, introduces us to the secrets of winemaking and the organic way of producing grapes. With short snacks, we taste four well-known wines of this winery, and the view from the terrace to the vineyard and the blue Danube leaves us breathless.

The third stop is the Viinogradi restaurant, which has a long tradition, which once hosted former SFRY President J. B. Tito, as well as astronaut Neil Armstrong, actress Sofia Loren, politician Henry Kissinger, musician Louis Armstrong and many others. With lunch, consisting of cheese appetizers and two types of meat (chicken and pork), we taste three wines.

During this wine day we toast three times, following the Serbian tradition,

Note:

On this tour, only 15 km away from the center of Belgrade, we pass by a settlement of Vinca, where one of the most important and important archeological sites in Europe has been discovered. The oldest traces of prehistoric settlements date back even to the Neolithic (Late Stone Age).

Sightseeing of the village Vinča is possible at extra cost and by arrangement with the tour operator.
