Serbia is a country with a royal wine tradition. Members of two Serbian dynasties (Obrenovici and Karadjordjevic) cultivated vines. From the Royal Karadjordjevic Winery in Topola to the Obrenovic Villa on Zlatni Breg in Smederevo, in places carefully selected by Serbian monarchs, the wineries that rightly continue this royal tradition are proud to open their doors today.
On the first day, we visit the Mausoleum of the Karadjordjevic Dynasty and the King Peter’s House in Oplenac. At the Royal Winery, we tour the museum setting and royal cellars, and sample two of the wineries of this winery. After the Royal Winery, we visit two other top wineries from Poplar, taste wines, and one of them is scheduled for lunch. Overnight stay in Poplar.
On the second day, on the way to Smederevo, we will visit two other top wineries, one monastery and a wine cellar within the monastery, and one of these wineries is scheduled for lunch. We end the day in Smederevo, where we spend the night.
On the third day, we visit wineries on the road from Smederevo to Belgrade, with lunch at the Vinogradi Restaurant, with a splendid view of the Danube. On that day, a visit to the Obrenovic Villa in Zlatni Breg is also planned.
During this trip, you will be able to get original wine souvenirs.
* In case the trip is realized on a day when it is not possible to visit the Zlatni Breg Villa in Smederevo, a tour of the Smederevo Fortress will be organized and departure to the Villa, but without a tour.
